Most unpleasant stories in Israel begin the same way: a person came to work or I gave the money to the intermediary without knowing anything about him. The check takes about ten minutes - step by step below plan.
Step 1. Enter your phone number
Agents and agents often publish advertisements under different names, but they have the same number. In IsraWork enter the number into the search: you will see a card company, if the number is associated with it, and how many times it appears in vacancies on the site. A number that posts dozens of “urgent” vacancies every day in different channels is a reason to ask more questions.
Step 2. Read employee reviews
Every company, agency or agency on IsraWork has a page with reviews. Please pay pay attention to two questions that are asked in every review: “were you paid in full and on time” and “Did the conditions coincide with those promised?” When there are three or more answers, we show the percentage.
Step 3: View your job summary
If you are going to a specific factory, hotel or construction site, look into reviews of places of work. It contains what you usually recognize only on the spot: real rate, how many hours a day, is there lunch and transportation, how do they pay - to the account, in cash or by check, is it issued? And through what intermediaries did they get a job there.
Step 4. Look at Google Maps
Large enterprises have reviews on Google Maps - on the page of the place of work in IsraWork there are a button that immediately searches for it by its name in Hebrew. Remember that they write not only workers, but also buyers and visitors.
Step 5. Ask questions before your first shift
- Who is legally your employer: the enterprise itself, the agency or the agency?
- What is the rate per hour and how is overtime calculated?
- When and how are salaries paid, is a tlush (pay slip) issued?
- How much does housing cost and is it deducted from your salary?
- Is there transportation and lunch, and are they paid?
Ask for answers in writing - at least via a message in the messenger. Learn more about how to lead accounting of hours, - in the article accounting of working hours and salary.
