Rashut HaAvlusa (Population and Immigration Administration) announced, that visas for asylum seekers are being made electronic. From October 15, 2026 blue paper they are no longer issued in person: an extended visa is visible only in the personal account of the “Foreigners Portal”.
What to do before October 14
- Register at inforhub.piba.gov.il (Sign in → Create Account). It's free no intermediaries needed
- Login and check that your visa with the correct date is visible in the account.
- Save your password and check that you have access to the email specified in the form.
If registration fails
- Enter the passport number you used to enter Israel.
- Phone - without the first zero: 52..., not 052....
- The password requires a special character: !, ? or @.
- Blocked after several attempts - wait a day and try again.
- Do not share your password with unfamiliar “helpers” from chats.
What doesn't change
- You still need to renew your visa in person, on your day, at the machines in Bnei Brak (Mivtza Kadesh 64).
- The office shows the visa, but does not show the closure of the case. About the call for an interview and about You will only find out when the case is closed from an email, so check it along with your spam.
